A critical and irreverent take on the classic flour-de-lis (flower of the lily) symbol of heraldry associated with European nobility and Enlightenment order.

This ongoing project aims to question notions of tradition through juxtaposition, disjunction, and decontextualized symbolic representation as afforded by digital manipulation. The re-conceived fleur-de-lis pattern questions the order of tradition and the rational world the motif once projected.
